Hiking. Not only is it a great workout, but it’s also a great way to spend time with friends, family or your special someone on the weekend. To me, exercising outside feels like less work, especially since I’m doing something I enjoy – which is spending time outdoors; keeping me inside the house all day feels like p u n i s h m e n t! Now that Fall is here & we have cooler weather, make sure to take advantage of the many outdoor activities. No matter where you live you can always find parks nearby your house to take a hike, bike ride or to just take in the beautiful views with Fall’s colorful foliage.
Putting together a stylish workout outfit isn’t hard. Nowadays, you can look very cute & fashionable, but still be comfortable during your workout. Active-wear sales are BOOMING – the whole trend of wearing workout clothes both inside & outside the gym isn’t going anywhere, looks to me like it’s here to stay. I’m sure you all have seen how popular it’s become to incorporate sporty into street style looks. Sometimes, all it takes is one piece to change your look from gym to street. You can add a leather jacket, tie a shirt around your waist, or add some designer sunglasses – the look is still sporty but you spruced it up. Lately, when I purchase leggings, I don’t want the plain boring look. I already have way too many all black leggings so I opt for the ones with the perforated mesh inserts. Not only do they keep you looking hot but they also make you feel cool while working out. You get the best of both worlds.
Thanks for stoppin’ by & for your continued support.
Here is one of the outfit’s I wore while I was in Lake George. While being in Lake George, you don’t get too many chances to dress up. If you do it’s usually towards the evening because that’s when you go into the Village. Most of the time you are wearing your bathing suit or something comfortable. This look is perfect for a summer day/night. It’s very comfortable, relaxed and chic. This is one of my favorite tops, like I’ve mentioned previously, coral is the perfect color and looks amazing with a tan! Something about the color radiates so much happiness and liveliness, which is something I’m all about. I love the detail on the front of shirt. The lace shorts are great as well. They are versatile, so they can easily make a transition from a day time to night time look. I like that these shorts actually cover your butt!! They aren’t very short and aren’t too revealing. They also match well with various tops. I paired this with my hot pink/coral sandals which gave the outfit some more color. ♥
Shorts – H&M / Top – Express / Sandals – Ann Taylor Loft / Purse – Tory Burch
Can’t believe August is already here! Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just June. This summer went by so quickly! I feel like there’s still so much to do but not enough time. Make sure to make the best out of the remaining days we have left! Enjoy it to the fullest! Hope you enjoyed the post & thanks for checkin’ in! Have a wonderful week! A special thank you to my boyfriend for the pictures! ♥
Hello Everyone! 🙂 Feels like it’s been forever since I last had a post! I’m finally back after a long weekend with my boyfriend in Lake George. For the ones that are clueless as to where that is, it’s Upstate, NY! Absolutely beautiful place, I recommend everyone to go there at least once! Since I moved to the United States, I would go with my parents and their friends to Lake George at least twice each summer. It’s one of my best childhood memories – from going to the water parks, mini golfing, boating, watching fireworks for the 4th of July, going to the House of Frankenstein Wax Museum & the Fort William Henry Museum , drive-in movie theater, amusement parks, etc. I always had a blast there.
This past Friday we decided to take a road trip and have mini vacation to change things up and get away from reality. It truly was a great place to escape. We stayed at a resort owned by a polish family – Kastner’s on the Lake. That place was so relaxing and quiet. We didn’t spend too much time in the cabin but we enjoyed going fishing on one of their boats. It was a first for me! And the crazy part is I actually really enjoyed it – who would of thought 🙂 ?! Besides that we also went Whitewater Rafting! Another first for me – I was a little worried in the beginning but I felt more secure knowing my boyfriend has done it multiple times before. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go again because it all happened too quick. Next stop for rafting is in the Delaware River (hopefully before the summer ends!) We also went to the drive-in movie theater to see Into the Storm. That is something everyone should experience. We put blankets on the hood on the car and laid there, you got to watch the movie and see the moon and stars (very romantic ladies!). It’s so much cooler than going to the movies. It’s awesome that that’s what they did back in the day. We only stayed for one of the movies so once that was done we went mini-golfing! What I like about the mini-golfing places in Lake George is that each one is different and they actually put effort into making them look great for kids. And lastly, we saved the best for last! We went PARASAILING! It’s something that was on both of our bucket lists! We were so nervous and scared to go but it had to be done. I’m so glad we decided to do it because it was the best experience ever! When we were up there it was so peaceful and relaxing. We felt like we were swinging over Lake George and the whole time the water was glistening. This weekend was absolutely perfect in every single way! I believe everyone needs a weekend like this to get away with their loved ones. I came back fully relaxed and feel like a new person.
Here’s a mini picture diary of my weekend! Enjoy! ♥
