Summer Maxi Dress + Booties

Oh hello there ♥
Transitioning your favorite articles of clothing throughout different seasons is always a great idea. That way you get the most bang for your buck. It’s lovely to bring some sunny weather staples, such as maxi dresses, into your fall wardrobe. Just because you’re going from warm to cold weather doesn’t have to mean you have to put the dresses away just yet. Just pair it with a black leather jacket & some cute ankle booties. The black leather jacket is a great way to add an unexpected edge & contrast to a summer staple while ankle booties are very versatile & look amazing with either a maxi dress or skirt during the colder months. Neutral colored accessories tone down the look while also completing your outfit & making the mix of patterns purposeful. Give it a try this fall season.

This past Sunday has put me back in the groove. I find blogging a pure delight and now I’m craving to do more. What girl doesn’t love to get dolled up & take pictures?! The whole process is so much fun – preparing your outfit for the photo shoot, doing your hair & makeup (even though with this photo shoot, my hair had no chance. Wind – 1 | Adrianna – 0), finding the perfect spot to take pictures, sitting down and actually writing the blog post, etc. I’m so happy that my wonderful friend Ania wanted to take photos of me. I love them all. Now I can’t wait until we do it again – hint hint: the sooner, the better 🙂 haha

I was never sure how I’d feel about over-the-knee boots because I was always worried I would look weird because I don’t have long legs. But I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on for the first time. I fell in love with them so much I ended up getting 3 different pairs. They go perfectly with almost everything I wear. I love the look of these boots with my long fur vest – which I had the pleasure of wearing for the first time this season – well actually ever – since it’s been hanging in my closet for the past few months. I completely forgot I even had it. Funny thing is that my grey, long sleeve, fur jacket from Sunday Funday Part 1 was worn for the time as well. I will have to make use of them more often before the cold weather ends.

Thanks for stoppin’ by ♥

Special thank you to Anka Photography ♥

Boyfriend Style

Hello lovelies, Happy Monday!

I know the weather is pretty shitty today but let’s not forget how beautiful this past weekend was! It was absolutely delightful. It finally felt like summer because let’s be honest, this so called “summer” stinks this year. I’m hoping that the warm weather will be here to stay.

I love anything that’s off the shoulder. It’s such a sexy look for women. And you can’t go wrong with a pair of boyfriend jeans – as long as the fit is loose but not sloppy-looking. Boyfriend jeans are a great fashion staple – very comfortable & can be dressed up/down. Boyfriend jeans are hands down one of the easiest way to achieve cool street-style.

Got caught taking a selfie by my boyfriend lol nbd

Bella Organics Products

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you’re having a great start into this wonderful week! To start off this new week I decided to discuss an organic skincare company with you guys.

Last week I received products from a company called Bella Organics. They are an all-natural & organic skincare company. Their mission statement is “We believe that we should take care of our bodies, and in turn, our bodies will take care of us.” Bella Organics products never contain water, emulsifiers, or any of the unnatural or toxic ingredients that are found today in most mass-market products. They stick to the best plant-based essential oils & extracts. Our skin is greatly affected by the outside environment influences & aging, so we have to do everything in our power to protect our skin- naturally.

Alena from Bella Organics was extremely sweet & nice. She sent me over the Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask, Goji Berry Body Scrub, Lavender Vanilla Deodorant Creme, Jasmine & Honey Hydrating Face Cream for Dry Skin, Coconut Lime Lip Balm, & Lavender Foam Soap.

Bella Organics1

  1. Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask ($19.95)

Ingredients:  Dead Sea Mineral Mud, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Perilla Seed Oil, Aloe Vera Oil. Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil, Organic Geranium, Optiphen (as a preservative) unless preservative free option chosen.

This product was hands down my favorite. It’s so soft and smooth and did not irritate my skin! The mud mask dries on your face & you feel the slight tightening of the skin. You leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. The first time I tried it I made sure to test the product out on a smaller part of my skin because I was worried it would irritate it. But that wasn’t the case. It gets rid of all the makeup that’s left over on your face & gives it a deep down clean feeling. I saw an improvement in my skin with just 2 uses. This mask really improves the appearance of your skin by minimizing the pores on your face, wrinkles & fine lines & improving elasticity. If any of you have any skin disorders such as eczema, acne or psoriasis then this a great product for you to try. It can really help cure your symptoms. This mud mask is a perfect for natural skin exfoliation & restoring your skin’s pH balance. You don’t need to use a lot of this product, it goes a long way. After using the Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask my skin felt clean, soft, fresh & silky. I know some products make your skin feel dry & stripped but this mud mask was nowhere close to that. I truly can’t get enough of this wonderful product & recommend it to everyone!

2. Goji Berry Body Scrub ($7.95)

Ingredients: Dead Sea Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt, Goji Berries*, Almond Oil*, Orange EO*   *Certified Organic

The first thing that made me love this product is the scent! It gives off a smell of freshly squeezed citrus. It smells so good that you will want to eat it. I guarantee it! This great antioxidant body scrub will leave your skin silky smooth like a baby’s butt. It gives off your natural glow and makes you feel super clean & smelling great for the rest of the day. This body scrub can be used on both your hands & body. It leaves your hands and body feeling oily & moisturized. The benefits are: The Goji berries keep your skin looking young & it’s filled with Vitamin E for soft glowing skin! Himalayan Salt is considered to be the most pure form of whole salt on the planet, it contains 84 minerals and trace elements including iodine, when you use the scrub these minerals are absorbed into your skin! Dead Sea Salt is known for its therapeutic properties with people traveling to soak in its healing salty waters! Benefits have been clinically proven to relieve symptoms of psoriasis and other skin allergies. While using this product I just used a small amount and rubbed it all over my body for about 1 to 2 minutes. Make sure to not rub it in too hard, it does it’s job by rubbing it gently against your skin. After all you have to do is rinse it off and pat it dry & it leaves your body full moisturized. Also, if you are the type of person who likes bubble baths, then just use a tablespoon and let it dissolve with warm water. It does an amazing job exfoliating your skin. I recommend this as well.

3. Jasmine & Honey Hydrating Face Cream for Dry Skin ($27.00)

Ingredients: Shea Butter*, Jojoba*, Coconut Oil*, Moroccan Argan Oil*, Evening Primrose Oil, Honey*, Jasmine Extract*, Vitamin E, Silk *Certified Organic

This product does not lie when it says it hydrates. After I used my Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask I put a little dab of this Jasmine & Honey Hydrating Face Cream on a few places on my face and it melted on my skin as if it was butter. It kept my face hydrated and moisturized all day. My skin felt so soft and nourished. The cream soaks in very well & a small amount of it goes a long way. My skin quickly absorbed it and left it feeling great. When our skin is dehydrated wrinkles can form on our face which is something us women do not want. So we have to make sure our skin is hydrated and moisturized. This cream is unlike any conventional cream, you don’t have to apply a large amount or very often. On a clean face, just a apply a tiny bit and let the cream melt into your skin. The benefits are: Organic Shea Butter contains Vitamins A, E & F and has been used for hundreds of years to protect, heal and beautify the skin! We use pure organic Shea butter that has not been treated with chemicals to refine it. The vitamins in Shea butter work together to hydrate, soothe and balance the skin. It also contains fatty acids with protect and revitalize damaged skin. Organic Jojoba Oil is the ONLY oil that is similar to human sebum. It tricks your skin to accept the oil and helps skin to regulate a balanced oil production! Jojoba oil rejuvenates your skin and promotes new cell growth. Your skin rapidly absorbs the oil making it soft and youthful. It restores skin suppleness and promotes skin elasticity. Organic Coconut Oil Unlike other acids used in other cosmetics that quickly oxidize and turn bad, causing free radical cell damage, lauric acid in coconut stays fresh for longer. This also means that coconut oil is packed with antioxidants, along with the medium chain fatty acids that actually help build cells rather than destroy them. This is good news for younger looking skin. Using coconut oil regularly helps build and repair skin, actually slowing down the development of wrinkles! Organic Argan oil: protects the skin against wrinkles appeared due to premature aging. It also helps reduce the appearance of crow’s feet (wrinkles under the eyes). It is a very good remedy for dry skin. It does freshen and soften the skill more readily than any other skin softness creams or oils do. Protein rich Argan oil is very good for the elasticity of skin. It strengthens the protein bonding structures in the skin which works to tighten the skin and make it look fresh. Argan oil is good for reducing skin irritation. It quickly heals the marks caused by scratching on skin. One of the most amazing facts about Argan oil is that along with dry skin it is equally good for oily skin. Sebum is an oily substance secreted by sebaceous glands which keeps the skin wet and protects against dryness, but its excess secretion is bad for the skin. Argan oil regulates the secretion of sebum and keeps it to a manageable level. Organic Evening Primrose Oil: Rejuvenates tired and aging skin and can make tired eyes look fresher. Removes redness and minor blemishes and can help dry skin to feel suppler and younger. It can be massaged into dry skin to make it smoother and silkier and to reduce and remove fine wrinkles. Organic Honey: Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants known to slow aging. It is extremely moisturizing and soothing! Vitamin E has long been known for its anti-aging properties and it also increases the shelf life of the face cream. Believe me, it will make your skin feel wonderful & you will love using it.

I’m hoping you all enjoyed my post about Bella Organics products. I wanted to share with you the products that worked very well on my skin. If you guys are interested make sure to visit their website & order a few items. They also have samples you can order to first test it out and see what you like.

Thank you for stoppin’ by! Make sure to share with your friends!

Keeping it Neutral

IMG_3076

Hello Friends! Hope all is well with you. 🙂

Everything has been going great on my end. We are still in the process of buying our first home. News regarding that should get back to us shortly – maybe this week or next. This week would be absolutely amazing though since my birthday is tomorrow! But you can’t rush these type of things so we have to patiently wait. I’ll keep you posted…

Besides that, we’ve just been hanging out and trying to get our mind off things. This past weekend we left CT and took a drive to NYC for the night and hung out at my house. I love coming back to NYC, it’s my favorite place to be. I’m a true city girl and I just love the vibe I get whenever I’m here. Once I get on the White stone Bridge & see that city view I feel so ecstatic.

We spent Sunday Funday in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My mom, my boyfriend & I went to eat at our favorite polish restaurant Karczma  – it’s traditional decor resembles an old country farmhouse that makes you feel like you are in Poland. The old polish folk music, waitresses dressed in traditional folk dresses and traditional polish food make it an unforgettable journey back in time. I recommend you all to try this restaurant out whenever you come to NY, I’m sure you won’t regret it. Afterwards, to get rid of our sweet tooth we went to Fortunato Brothers Cafe & Pasticceria, which is one of the best bakeries in Brooklyn. The day was perfect.

With this look I figured I’d keep it neutral. The dress/tunic was very comfortable and perfect for a sunny fall day. If you are worried that it will be too short for you, just wear some shorts underneath. Tunics are mean to fit loose, not snug. There are many types of tunics for women which can be different style, lengths and shapes. The trick is to pick the one that best flatters your body type. Some may have an empire waistline while others flow straight. Adding a belt is always a great idea. I usually put the belt on my hips – that’s where I think it looks best. I paired this outfit with my Nine West open toed booties which I absolutely love.
