Floral Kimono/Duster : Wardrobe Essential

Welcome back ♥

If you’re looking for a chic and easy way to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall, consider the kimono/duster. This versatile beauty has been a huge hit this summer & it will continue to be this fall season! There’s something that keeps my eyes glued to them whenever I see one. It’s a wardrobe essential! A fun & stylish statement piece that will be a great addition to any closet. Cool thing is, they come in various lengths and in every hue & fabric imaginable so you can tailor the look to your own style. It’s a garment that suits everyone because it’s easy to wear for every body type.  And lucky enough, kimonos/dusters are quite easy to come across both online and in stores.  Don’t forget to add this to your shopping list, you won’t regret it – because I sure don’t.  🙂

This past Sunday has put me back in the groove. I find blogging a pure delight and now I’m craving to do more. What girl doesn’t love to get dolled up & take pictures?! The whole process is so much fun – preparing your outfit for the photo shoot, doing your hair & makeup (even though with this photo shoot, my hair had no chance. Wind – 1 | Adrianna – 0), finding the perfect spot to take pictures, sitting down and actually writing the blog post, etc. I’m so happy that my wonderful friend Ania wanted to take photos of me. I love them all. Now I can’t wait until we do it again – hint hint: the sooner, the better 🙂 haha

I was never sure how I’d feel about over-the-knee boots because I was always worried I would look weird because I don’t have long legs. But I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on for the first time. I fell in love with them so much I ended up getting 3 different pairs. They go perfectly with almost everything I wear. I love the look of these boots with my long fur vest – which I had the pleasure of wearing for the first time this season – well actually ever – since it’s been hanging in my closet for the past few months. I completely forgot I even had it. Funny thing is that my grey, long sleeve, fur jacket from Sunday Funday Part 1 was worn for the time as well. I will have to make use of them more often before the cold weather ends.

Thanks for stoppin’ by ♥

Special thank you to Anka Photography ♥

Boyfriend Style

Hello lovelies, Happy Monday!

I know the weather is pretty shitty today but let’s not forget how beautiful this past weekend was! It was absolutely delightful. It finally felt like summer because let’s be honest, this so called “summer” stinks this year. I’m hoping that the warm weather will be here to stay.

I love anything that’s off the shoulder. It’s such a sexy look for women. And you can’t go wrong with a pair of boyfriend jeans – as long as the fit is loose but not sloppy-looking. Boyfriend jeans are a great fashion staple – very comfortable & can be dressed up/down. Boyfriend jeans are hands down one of the easiest way to achieve cool street-style.

Got caught taking a selfie by my boyfriend lol nbd

Keeping it Neutral

IMG_3076

Hello Friends! Hope all is well with you. 🙂

Everything has been going great on my end. We are still in the process of buying our first home. News regarding that should get back to us shortly – maybe this week or next. This week would be absolutely amazing though since my birthday is tomorrow! But you can’t rush these type of things so we have to patiently wait. I’ll keep you posted…

Besides that, we’ve just been hanging out and trying to get our mind off things. This past weekend we left CT and took a drive to NYC for the night and hung out at my house. I love coming back to NYC, it’s my favorite place to be. I’m a true city girl and I just love the vibe I get whenever I’m here. Once I get on the White stone Bridge & see that city view I feel so ecstatic.

We spent Sunday Funday in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My mom, my boyfriend & I went to eat at our favorite polish restaurant Karczma  – it’s traditional decor resembles an old country farmhouse that makes you feel like you are in Poland. The old polish folk music, waitresses dressed in traditional folk dresses and traditional polish food make it an unforgettable journey back in time. I recommend you all to try this restaurant out whenever you come to NY, I’m sure you won’t regret it. Afterwards, to get rid of our sweet tooth we went to Fortunato Brothers Cafe & Pasticceria, which is one of the best bakeries in Brooklyn. The day was perfect.

With this look I figured I’d keep it neutral. The dress/tunic was very comfortable and perfect for a sunny fall day. If you are worried that it will be too short for you, just wear some shorts underneath. Tunics are mean to fit loose, not snug. There are many types of tunics for women which can be different style, lengths and shapes. The trick is to pick the one that best flatters your body type. Some may have an empire waistline while others flow straight. Adding a belt is always a great idea. I usually put the belt on my hips – that’s where I think it looks best. I paired this outfit with my Nine West open toed booties which I absolutely love.

3 GG Looks for The Holiday Season

The holiday season is creeping up on us. During this time many of us have busy schedules filled with dinner parties. Dressing up for various holiday events, from dinner dates with friends/significant others to business networking can become very stressful if one is unsure of what “look” to go for. Each event requires a made-for-the-occasion outfit and I’m here to help you get it right. Here are three outfit ideas for the Holiday GG.

Date Night
A night out in the town with the girls /significant other calls for a sleek, chic and super-stylish outfit. You can never go wrong with all black. By adding the red clutch & fur vest, you get a pop of color.
Holiday Outfit #1
Michael Kors Blouse $248 / River Island Cardigan $82 / H&M Imitation Leather Trousers $40 / Christian Louboutin So Kate Pump $675 / Christian Louboutin So Kate Bootie $1,095 / YSL Cross Body Bag $1,555 / Gucci Lipstick $39

Business Dinner Party
I suggest a look that’s classy, feminine and powerful. Since this is a company dinner party, make sure to not overdo the outfit. Keep the outfit simple and just add a pair of statement heels.

Holiday Outfit #2

Michael Kors White Silk Blouse $795 / Mango Knit Sweater $56 / Kay Leather Skirt $1,250 / Monroe Animal-Print Calf Hair Pumps $995 / YSL Monogrammed Clutch $995

Cocktail Party
When it comes to cocktail parties there is no “official “dress code which sometimes makes it a tad bit difficult to prepare for. Of course you can’t go wrong with a Little Black Dress for a Cocktail Party. They way I see it – it’s better to be slightly overdressed than under-dressed for a party.

Holiday Outfit #3

Jane Norman Halter Dress $80 / Jimmy Choo Pumps $675 / YSL Monogramme Tassel Clutch $1,500 / Tory Burch Logo Flower Stud Earrings $68

My piece got featured in The Greenwich Girl’s Magazine – Holiday Issue. I hope you all enjoyed it & don’t forget to go directly to her website to check it out.

Have a wonderful day!
